Ana Maria Soares is Associate Professor of Marketing and Strategic Management at the School of Economics and Management, University of Minho. She teaches several undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in international marketing, strategy, and consumer behaviour. She conducts research on consumer behaviour and international marketing/strategy. She has published in a variety of international peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Consumer Studies, the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, the International Journal of Retail and Distribution Management and the Journal of Consumer Marketing.


Research Interests:

Online and offline shopping behaviour. Economic crisis and consumer behaviour. Anti-consumption. Voluntary simplicity. Consumer resistance.
