Ana Vieira has a PhD in Education Sciences, in the area of ​​Social Education and Sociopedagogical Mediation and holds a Master's Degree in Education Sciences - History and Current Problems of Education, by UTAD - University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. She is an Adjunct Professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences (ESECS) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL) and an integrated researcher at CICS.NOVA.IPLeiria. She is Member of the Scientific Committee of the Social Education course and of the Master in Intercultural Mediation and Social Intervention of ESECS.IPLeiria.

• 2015 – 2017: A mediação intercultural com filhos de imigrantes e sucesso escolar, projeto apresentado à FCT em 29 de janeiro de 2015 com Ana Vieira, José Carlos Marques, Cátia Matias e Patrícia Simões.
• 2014 – 2015: A mediação sociocultural com filhos de imigrantes, sucesso escolar e reconstrução identitária, projeto apresentado ao ACM com Ana Vieira, Cristóvão Margarido e José Carlos Marques.
• 2009 – 2011: Novos papéis sociais na escola: O mediador sócio-escolar e a construção duma escola aberta às diferenças, projeto financiado pelo IPLeiria, no âmbito das atividades de investigação do CIID-IPL (www.ciid.ipleiria).
