António Brandão Moniz is Associate Professor (since 1999) of Sociology at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia (UNL), with habilitation for Full Professorship since 2001. Is coordinator of the PhD Programme on "Technology Assessment" (UNL) from 2009. Since 2011 he is also Senior Researcher of the Institute of Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis at the  Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Is Director of the Observatory of Technology Assessment (OAT) of CICS.NOVA centre (since 2015). He is also a member of the Strategic Committee of CICS.NOVA centre. He is member of the Topic Group Natural Interaction with Social Robots, and of the Topics Group "Ethical, Legal and Socio-Economic Issues" both from the European euRobotics platform. Coordinates the national Agenda of Research & Innovation on "Work, robotization and employment qualification in Portugal" (Ministry of Science and Technology).

Technology Assessment. Sociology of Technology. Sociology of Innovation. Human-Technology Interaction.
