Catarina Tomás is Sociologist. She has a PhD degree in Child Studies (Sociology of Childhood) by the University of Minho, Portugal, and a Post-graduation in Human Rights by the Law School of the University of Minho, Portugal. She is Assistant Professor at the Lisbon Higher Education School, Portugal, where she was Coordinator of the Master's degree in Early Childhood Education (2012-2018). She is researcher at CICS.NOVA (Rights, Policy and Justice team) and author of several national and international publications in the area of children's rights.
