Nuno Boavida holds a PhD in Technology Assessment from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2015), a Master of Science in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the London School of Economics (2001) and a degree (Licenciatura) in Industrial Production Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (1999). The integrated researcher is the leader of the European consortium that develops the project CROWDWORK (running from 2019 to 2021) that aims to find new strategies to organize workers in the Gig economy. In addition, the researcher is a member of the Portuguese team of the European project DEEP VIEW (from 2018 to 2020) that aims to study the social dialogue and collective bargaining practices that address the various effects of teleworking, digital work, virtual work and/or telecommuting. Nuno Boavida has experience in the use of quantitative and qualitative research methods, and has worked on research projects related to innovation indicators, technology assessment and electric vehicles. He is the Deputy-Director of the Observatory of Technology Assessment of CICS.NOVA since 2016.
