Pedro Francisco Duarte has a PhD degree in Sociology obtained in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He is a Career Professor with the status of Assistant Professor (Adjunct) at ESTGL in the Higher Institute Polytechnic of Viseu. Integrated Researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center for Social Sciences at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CICS.NOVA) and Collaborator Researcher at the Center for Education and Innovation Studies at the Higher Institute Polytechnic of Viseu (CI&DEI/IPV). His current research interests are in the sphere of Health Sociology, Sociology of Social Movements, Sociology of Emotions and Pragmatic Sociology.

Research Interests:

Health and well-being policies. Public controversies in health. Health, social and associative movements. Demographic sustainability. Ageing.
