Sérgio Rosendo participated in the commission to establish CICS.NOVA, created in 2015. Previously, he coordinated the research group Socioeconomic and Environmental Dynamics: Management for Sustainability of e-GEO Geography and Regional Planning Research Centre. At the international level, he has collaborated in several projects with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), South Africa’s Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, CORDIO East Africa (Quénia), Associação do Meio Ambiente e Universidade Lurio (Moçambique).

• 2013-present - Securing marine biodiversity through sustainably-financed and community-managed marine areas in coastal Mozambique (5 years). Funded by EuropeAid. Project lead by the Zoological Society of London. Role: Governance advisor & Socioeconomic M&E coordinator;
