Academic qualifications:

2003 - PhD in Development Studies by the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK.

1997 - BA in Development Studies by the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK.

Current professional situation:

Sérgio Rosendo participated in the commission to establish CICS.NOVA, created in 2015. Previously, he coordinated the research group Socioeconomic and Environmental Dynamics: Management for Sustainability of e-GEO Geography and Regional Planning Research Centre. At the international level, he has collaborated in several projects with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), South Africa’s Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, CORDIO East Africa (Quénia), Associação do Meio Ambiente e Universidade Lurio (Moçambique).

Current interests of investigation:

Adaptation to Climate Change. Fisheries Co-management. Marine Biodiversity Conservation. Coastal Zone Management. Ecosystem Services.
