Goals
The lack of a common framework of knowledge on the management of EU funds has so far prevented the development of standardised, common and recognized curricula in the higher education sector to support the increased demand for experts in EU-funded projects. In universities, the fields of knowledge related to the management of EU funds are poorly distributed and belong to different academic fields. Design methodologies are mainly related to the study of social sciences, while project management is related to the study of engineering or management. There are few courses and programs for EU project managers that combine both areas of knowledge, despite the greater connection and synergy that can have a positive impact on the ability to achieve project objectives more effectively. By bringing together universities and organizations with relevant expertise in EU project design and project management, this proposal aims to better align higher education sector curricula with opportunities and labor market demands for the EU project manager profile.
