The workshop “AI & Research: Methods and Frontiers” is a proposal by CICS.NOVA to train researchers, teachers and students in the critical and effective use of AI in the production of knowledge. The growing presence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in scientific research is profoundly transforming research practices. AI-based tools are being used to automate literature reviews, improve data analysis and support academic writing. However, this technological revolution also raises ethical and methodological challenges that need to be understood and debated by the scientific community.

Objectives

• To present the main applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research
• Train participants in the use of AI-based tools for scientific production
• Promote reflection on the ethical and methodological challenges of AI in research
