Maria Raquel Rodrigues Santana, Graduation in Occupational Therapy in 2001 and PhD in Educational Sciences from FCSH at Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2019. PhD thesis focused on grade retention, which is one of the areas of her interest. She is currently adjunct professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja, having worked previously in the educational and geriatric field.


Research Interests:

Educational problems (school retention, school failure, immigrant students). Special educational needs. Parental involvement. Cognitive rehabilitation. Geriatrics/Gerontology.
